Android port

Post  MAN-biker on Fri Aug 24, 2012 2:28 am

First of all, thank you again for your builds of SCUMM VM.
I just bought HTC Evo 3D with Android 4 onboard, but have several bugs with 1.5.0 (1.4 not tested).
1. I can't get OGG soundtracks working, nither as MIDI-replation (Kyrandia), nor CD-Audio one (Gobliiins CD).
By the way, can't get any sound in some games at all (Monkey1 CD).
2. Not relative to your buildl, but all android ports: Touche engine doesn't support "right click+holding+moving mouse pointer" before realising right button, so Touche game is UNPLAYABLE yet.
So, please, help us and try to fix bugs listed above or tell me what i need to do to avoid them.
Thank you.

I tested all of one game on the android build and figured that the rest would be OK. Guess I should have known better. I've tried out Kyrandia now and I get the same problem. It won't be anything complicated since they all worked in Windows. My money is on the ogg libraries being left out of the build possibly along with some others. I'll have a look at it today and get it sorted out.

It was looking in the wrong place for the Tremor and mad libraries which certainly explains it. If you give it another go now, the soundtracks should be working.

Thanx, music & sounds works fine now!

PS: but TOUCHE "right click menu selection" still unusable.

I'll have a look at at some point and see if I can figure out the controls but I'd like to have a go a SimSaw's STS2 bugs first.

I had a look many months back but the way the controls work (or at least worked) on Android, I couldn't see any simple way of doing it. I think this is probably something that you'll need to get fixed in the main port unless it's changed since.
